应中共中央政治局委员、外交部长王毅邀请，科威特外交大臣杰拉赫将于8月23日至24日对中国进行正式访问。

At the invitation of Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah will pay an official visit to China from August 23 to 24.

深圳卫视记者：8月20日，孟加拉国举行总统选举，执政党孟加拉国民族主义党候选人阿拉姆吉尔当选孟第23任总统。中方对此有何评论？对下阶段中孟关系有何期待？

Shenzhen TV: On August 20, in the Bangladeshi presidential election, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir from the ruling Bangladesh Nationalist Party was declared the winner and became the 23rd president of Bangladesh. What’s your comment? What’s China’s expectation on China-Bangladesh relations in the years to come?

林剑：中方祝贺阿拉姆吉尔先生当选孟加拉国总统。中方高度重视发展中孟关系，愿同孟政府一道努力，共同落实好两国领导人达成的重要共识，推进高质量共建“一带一路”，拓展各领域交流合作，推动新时代中孟命运共同体建设不断向前发展。

Lin Jian: China congratulates Mr. Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on his election as the president of Bangladesh. China values its relations with Bangladesh, and stands ready to work with the Bangladeshi government to deliver on the important common understandings between the leaders, promote high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, expand exchanges and cooperation in various areas, and strive for new progress in building the China-Bangladesh community with a shared future in the new era.

伊朗声像组织记者：特朗普威胁要对伊朗发动全面经济战。许多人认为，这种经济威胁是在弥补美国、以色列对伊朗军事行动的战场失利。发言人对此有何看法？

Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting: Donald Trump has threatened to wage a full-fledged economic war on Iran. Many say the economic threat is aimed at making up for the failure of the war, in the military domain, that the U.S. and Israel waged against Iran. What’s your take on that?

林剑：制裁施压无助于问题的解决。中方呼吁相关各方采取负责任举措，通过政治外交途径解决问题。

Lin Jian: Sanctions and pressure tactics are not the solution. China calls on parties to act responsibly and stick to the political and diplomatic approach. 

凤凰卫视记者：据报道，日本朝野政党国会议员计划下周访华，表示日中关系现状不符合任何一方利益，希望为推动两国关系改善发挥作用。中方对此有何评论？

Phoenix TV: A cross-party group of Japanese lawmakers will reportedly visit China next week, noting that the status quo of Japan-China relations is in no one’s interest. They hope to play a role in improving the bilateral ties. What’s your comment?

林剑：我们注意到，日本朝野政党一些有识之士对当前中日关系深感忧虑，希望为双边关系走上正确轨道作出努力。我们敦促日本当政者倾听、重视这些声音，恪守中日四个政治文件的各项原则，以实际行动为中日正常交流创造必要条件。

Lin Jian: We notice that some visionary people from both Japan’s ruling and opposition parties are deeply concerned over the current state of China-Japan relations and wish to make an effort to restore the relations to the right track. We call on those running the government of Japan to take these concerns seriously, abide by the four political documents, and create the conditions necessary for normal exchanges between China and Japan with concrete actions.

韩联社记者：昨天朝鲜向东部海域发射10余枚弹道导弹，这是今年第12次发射，也是三年以来最大规模的发射。中方对此有何评论？

Yonhap News Agency: Yesterday the DPRK fired over ten ballistic missiles toward waters to its east. This marks its 12th launch this year and the largest-scale launch in three years. Does China have any comment?

林剑：我们注意到相关报道，对此没有新的评论。

Lin Jian: We noted the reports and do not have any new comment.

伊朗声像组织记者：伊朗多年来一直承受美国制裁，但伊朗都成功规避或找到替代方案。现在据说特朗普并无“切实可行”的手段来推行所谓“最严厉制裁”。发言人对此有何看法？

Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting: Iran has endured years of sanctions imposed by the U.S. The Islamic Republic has either managed to bypass or find alternatives. And now it is said that Trump has no tangible card to enforce what he claims as “toughest sanctions.” What’s your viewpoint?

林剑：中方始终认为，军事手段和制裁施压无助于解决问题，只会加剧紧张、升级局势，不符合任何一方利益。我们呼吁相关各方通过对话协商化解矛盾分歧。

Lin Jian: China believes that military means, sanctions and pressure tactics are not the solution. On the contrary, they will only lead to escalation that serves no one’s interests. We call for efforts to solve disputes through dialogue and negotiation.

法新社记者：美国财长贝森特昨天接受采访，敦促中方加入美对伊朗经济施压，称中方大部分能源进口来自海湾地区。外交部对此有何评论？

AFP: A follow-up on Iran, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent urged China to join Washington in putting strong economic pressure on Iran. This was in an interview yesterday. Bessent noted that China has historically imported much of its energy from the Gulf. Does the foreign ministry have a response to these comments by Bessent?

林剑：我们昨天已就此作出回应。我愿重申，中方反对没有国际法依据、未经联合国安理会授权的非法单边制裁，呼吁相关各方采取负责任举措，通过政治外交途径解决问题。

Lin Jian: I answered a similar question yesterday. Let me reiterate, China opposes illicit unilateral sanctions that lack basis in international law and UN Security Council mandate. We call on parties to act responsibly and stick to the political and diplomatic approach.
